Uncle Of Missing Boy Speaks Out

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ―

Ricky Ramkissoon is the uncle of a missing Baltimore boy.  Police are trying to figure out if the boy's body is that of a boy found in a Philadelphia shed.  Ricky says his sister joined a religious group, and that may have contributed to the boy's disappearance and death.

This is a transcript of Mike Hellgren's interview with Ramkissoon.

On his sister: "She was always religious. She was like a follower."

On the religious group she joined: "They smoked weed all the time and prayed.  They're not allowed to listen to music.  They only have to wear white and gold."

"They pray a lot."

"If there's a picture on the wall, they take it off and break it and shout at the wall, like 'demon get out, demon get out.'"

"They put their lips on the baby's lips and blow marijuana -- inside the baby. That's what they did to my nephew."

"I gave him an Oreo and they went crazy, like 'he's not allowed to eat anything.'"

"The next day I came over there, met her (his sister) at the door, and she was like, 'play with your nephew for two minutes, because you're not allowed here anymore.'"

"I was playing with him in the park. My sister was crying and said, 'You can't come here no more.'"

"When I tried to come again, try tried to fight me."

"She wanted me to join the cult.  She didn't want me to leave."

"They control your whole life."

"The parable of the weeds, I don't know if you know about that, but they read that scripture, and they believe they have to smoke weed every day."

"It was based in New Jersey, before members moved to Baltimore."

"They go outside and look for women with babies who are struggling and recruit them."

"They target women with babies."

"They told me I couldn't talk to my mother anymore. They told me she was the devil."

"For initiation, they were going to pray and throw water on me or something."

"I had to smoke weed, read the Bible, and drink and then I'm in."

"They want to be in control of people's lives. They want to run people's lives.  They want to feel like they're God."

"They don't worship.  They want to be worshipped."

"It's all for power."

"Eleven people were members, including four kids."

"They go outside shouting at demons, talking to demons, saying that they see stuff on my shoulders."

"One time I was in there and they were like, 'there's a demon on your shoulder, and they were all pointing and staring at it.'"

On cult members: "Anything they get, they give it to them (the founders)."

"They told me I was a chosen one."

"They said our family is evil, our family wants to suppress us."

"offered me money, offered me drugs."
