2 Bitten By Snake At Md. Renaissance Festival

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ― An Anne Arundel County Fire official says a couple was bitten by a snake at the Renaissance Festival.

It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday at the Crownsville Fairgrounds in the 1800 block of Crownsville Road near Annapolis.

Division Chief Michael Cox says a woman in her 20s picked up the wild snake and was taunting her boyfriend with it when both of them were bitten.

Cox says paramedics met the couple at the first aid station at the festival and took them to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis with minor injuries.

He did not know what kind of snake had bitten the couple.
