Ravens Fans Pumped Up After Wildcard Win

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― If you watched the Ravens game Sunday, you're probably still revved up from it.

The Ravens defense soared and the Flacco-led offense scored. The team was unflappable.

Mary Bubala reports fans in Maryland are pumped up following the win.

Some had already purchased their tickets to Nashville in advance, confident their team would beat Miami.

Though the team was hundreds of miles away, fans in Dundalk were tailgating anyway, hoping for a victory.

But by game time, most of Baltimore was glued to the tube and loving the win that followed.

"You can't go wrong with a defensive game. It's more entertaining than offensive," said a fan.

"You're talking almost getting, what is it, 40 percent of the team's turnovers for the year. You're getting that in one game. Five turnovers out of 13, you're talking great defense here, baby," said another fan.

"Beyond expectations this year. It's awesome when the Ravens get into the playoffs. I'm a Baltimore boy, so I love it, and you can't ask for more," said one Baltimore City resident.

By the end of the game, fans had one player on their mind.

"My man Reed, you know he was awesome. You know we've come to expect that," said a fan.

"Literally every time a play needs to be made, Ed Reed is there. It's amazing. They should put him on offense and have him play every position on the field," said a fan.

They're all hoping for a repeat of 2000's Super Bowl success. Many feel they're going to get it.

"They remind me of the 2000 team, very much like them. Quarterback gets the job done; defense is great," said another fan.

The playoffs continue with the Ravens taking on the Tennessee Titans in Nashville Saturday airing on WJZ-13 at 4:30 p.m.

Just two games remain for the Ravens until the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla. in February. The Ravens hope their playoff path takes them there.
