Prince George's Co. Police Investigate Homicides

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) ― Prince George's County police are investigating two homicides that occurred in Suitland and Capital Heights Saturday.

Authorities say they responded to the 3000 block of Stone Gate Drive in Suitland around 2:45 a.m. after reports of gunfire. They say they found 35-year-old Victor Smith with no fixed address suffering from a gunshot wound. Smith later died.

At about 8:15 a.m. Saturday, police were called to the 700 block of Capitol Heights Boulevard in Capital Heights where they found a man with trauma to his body. They say the man was transported to a hospital and died.
