Teen May Enter Guilty Plea In Bus Attack
BALTIMORE (WJZ) ―
Another teenager could enter the equivalent of a guilty plea in juvenile court later this week after a vicious attack on an MTA bus.
Sarah Kreager declined an interview with Eyewitness News as she left District Court Tuesday morning after a judge postponed a case against her on drug charges.
Mike Hellgren reports Kreager is one of the main witnesses against a group of young people. Five students at Robert Poole Middle School were accused of beating her, her boyfriend and a bus driver, while on an MTA bus in Hampden last December.
The attack left Kreager's eyes fractured and swollen shut.
The students have been confined to their homes since the incident. One girl has admitted her involvement, but the rest, so far, have maintained their innocence. Some of the other teens claim Kreager started the fight.
"It really hurts me inside more than it hurts my daughter because she's being punished for something she didn't actually probably do. I would say she's defending herself," William McDaniels said.
Kreager has told Eyewitness News she has a lot to say about the attack, but will not do so until after the trials.
There are delays in cases involving three of the teens, but those trials in juvenile court will go on against five more teens. Sources say a plea deal has been offered to all five.
All MTA buses have cameras on board, but this attack was not captured on tape because the camera was not working.
