Landing Plane Hits Deer At Bay Bridge Airport
STEVENSVILLE, Md. (AP) ―
Maryland State Police say a small plane hit a deer while landing at the Bay Bridge Airport in Stevensville.
The Cirrus GTS plane was landing just before midnight Tuesday when it hit the deer. Police say pilot Franklin Jewell Fluharty of Salisbury was not injured. There is no word on the deer's condition.
Police say the aircraft sustained minor damage but was disabled. The runway has since been cleared for aircraft.
