Maryland Transportation Authority Police say an 81-year-old Baltimore man was fatally injured when he was hit by at least three vehicles, including a tractor trailer, on Interstate 95.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. Monday on southbound I-95 near the Caton Avenue exit in Southwest Baltimore.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner says Haywood Bass was hit by a tractor trailer and at least two other vehicles.
Police spokesman Cpl. Robert Thibodeau says it's not clear what Bass was doing when he was hit, but he says no car was found in the area.
Transportation authority police are looking for witnesses and drivers who think they may have hit something in the road around the time Bass was hit.
