3 Md. Men Sentenced For January Oyster Violations
CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) ―
Maryland Natural Resources Police say three men have been sentenced for oyster violations after a six-month investigation.
Joseph Janda, of Wittman, Carl Shockley of Fishing Creek and Jeremy Shockley of Church Creek were sentenced Wednesday for several oyster violations after being arrested in January.
Police announced the sentences Friday.
Janda was charged with possessing undersized oysters and sentenced to six months in the Dorchester County jail.
Carl Shockley was charged with selling oysters without a license and sentenced to unsupervised probation, a fine and forfeiting some of the money he made.
Jeremy Shockley was found guilty of possessing undersized oysters and sentenced to fines and forfeiting some of the money he made.
