A woman who allegedly struck and killed a Maryland Transportation Authority Department police officer on New Year's Eve was indicted on charges of auto manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The city state's attorney's office said Kerri J. King, 35, of Elkton, was also indicted Wednesday on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
Police said King owned the SUV that struck and killed Officer Courtney Brooks, 40. He was killed while working a traffic detail on Interstate 95.
