Weekend Weather Brings Vacationers To O.C.
OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ) ―
The gorgeous weather drew people to the beaches this weekend, and they're not ready to go home just yet.
The water of the Atlantic washed away many a footprint this weekend from people who came to Ocean City to enjoy Maryland's own slice of paradise.
"All of my worries are completely gone, and I'm just relaxed. It's really nice," said one beach goer.
It's the last big weekend of summer, and the weather did not disappoint.
"This is awesome, the weather is beautiful. It's gorgeous. We picked a great time to come out," said another vacationer.
From a luxurious bite of frozen custard to the unobstructed rays of sun and gentle waves, Ocean City proved to be a retreat for people of all ages.
The sights, sounds and tastes are all familiar to those from Maryland who have made this their vacation destination for generations.
"I'm just really having fun," said one child.
That's what it's all about. Ocean City is truly Maryland in miniature.
More than 250,000 people come to Ocean City on a typical Labor Day weekend.
