Anne Arundel Murder Trial Begins Without A Body

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ―

A Baltimore man is on trial for a second time in a murder case in which authorities never found a body.

The first trial of 21-year-old Antonio Moore ended earlier this year when a judge ruled some testimony would be prejudicial for the jury.

Moore is accused of shooting and killing 21-year-old Michael Francis in April 2007 behind a Brooklyn Park rowhouse, then stuffing the body into the trunk of a car.

Witnesses told investigators that Francis was shot with a rifle when he tried to intervene in a drug dispute involving Moore and another man.

Police found a rifle in some nearby woods and found Francis' bloody clothes in the car.

The trial began Wednesday and is expected to conclude by Friday.
