Inmate Convicted In Murder-For-Hire Plot
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) ―
A judge has convicted a Frederick County jail inmate of trying to arrange the killing of his former girlfriend's fiance.
Thirty-year-old William Louis Ruble of Frederick was sentenced Tuesday to serve 10 years of a 25-year sentence.
According to state's Attorney Charlie Smith, Ruble offered to pay a former co-worker $2,000 to kill to the fiance. The former co-worker went to police and no one was hurt.
Police say the man was to be killed before Nov. 18, when Ruble was scheduled to appear in court for violating a protective order.
