BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― Kimberly Armstrong is trying to make the best of a family tragedy.  Her 16-year-old son Eric Villines was murdered 3 1/2 years ago.

Villines, no stranger to law enforcement, was shot and killed Sept. 27, 2004, just up the street from his Northeast Baltimore home.

"The case is still open, but we have reached a dead end. Anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant, should call us at 410-396-2100," Baltimore Police spokesperson Troy Harris told Richard Sher.

Kimberly now devotes herself to helping parents of other troubled teens navigate their way through the complex juvenile justice system.

Last week would have been Eric's 20th birthday.

"Of course I was sad, but I spent the day helping other families. It took me out of the zone," Kimberly said.

She has also contributed to two books--"The Christian Woman's Guide for Personal Success" and "Women As Leaders."

Kimberly Armstrong can be contacted at 1-800-485-8214, or at www.kimberlyarmstrong.blogspot.com.
