PG Police: Man Finds Wife Dead In Apartment

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (AP) ―

Prince George's County police say a Temple Hills area woman was found slain in her apartment.

The woman's husband called police to the apartment, in the 6300-block of Maxwell Drive, shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland says the husband told officers he found the body when he returned home. Police did not immediately release the woman's name.

Police say blood was found at the scene, but it was not immediately clear how the woman was killed. They say there was no sign of forced entry.

Copeland says investigators are waiting for results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
