Thousands Turn Out For D.C. Mortgage Conference

WASHINGTON (WJZ) ― Homeowners with mortgages they can't afford are finding relief at a Washington, D.C. conference.

About 3,000 people arrived Saturday to restructure their mortgage payments and fend off foreclosure.

The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America known as NACA has hundreds of counselors available to develop affordable mortgage payments.

It's a free service, and it runs until Wednesday.
