Maryland's decision to move its primary up to next week is paying off -- Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is visiting the University of Maryland in College Park today.
The former Arkansas governor is the second major GOP candidate to visit. Arizona Senator John McCain was in Baltimore County on Thursday.
Two major Democrats are coming next week. Illinois Senator is coming to College Park and Baltimore Monday, and New York Senator Hillary Clinton has announced plans to campaign in Maryland the same day.
State elections officials say turnout should be higher than their predicted 30 percent because of all the interest in the presidential races.
