Troopers Healing At Home After Wild Police Chase

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) ― Maryland State Police say two state troopers are recuperating at home after they were injured in a high-speed chase from the Capital Beltway to Baltimore's Fort McHenry Tunnel.

Troopers Michael O'Brien and Alphrin Norman were released from Shock Trauma over the weekend. They were taken there Saturday with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Christopher Murphy, 30, of Horsham, Pa., is charged with attempted murder, assault and traffic offenses.

State police say the troopers were pursuing Murphy, who was driving erratically Saturday in Prince George's County. Police say he swerved into the side of a patrol car, which hit another cruiser and both spun out of control.
