Md. Auctioneers To Battle Sunday For State Title
PORT DEPOSIT, Md. (AP) ―
The Maryland State Bid Calling Championship is being held in Port Deposit on Sunday.
Zachary Shelley, of Havre de Grace, is hosting the competition. He finished 15 out of 65 last year at the international championship in Overland, Kan.
Shelley, 23, said judges from out of state would consider the competitors' ability to catch bids on the floor, and the speed and clarity of their calling.
The competition is at Hunter's Auction Service.
