Annapolis Sued By Market House Management

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ― The city of Annapolis is facing a $2 million lawsuit from the operators of the city-owned Market House.

The lawsuit was filed in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court by Market House ventures, which manages the market.

The company is an arm of real estate developer Site Realty and claims city officials violated their contract with Site by failing to make speedy repairs to the air conditioning system in the building. The suit alleges some tenants moved out, costing the management lost rental revenue.

Mayor Ellen Moyer says the lawsuit is strange because the city had been working with Site to fix the air conditioning problem.
