MTA Says MARC Trains Sold Out For Inauguration Day

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) ― The Maryland Transit Administration says tickets for MARC trains on Inauguration Day are sold out.

Kai Jackson reports transit officials are encouraging those who want to travel to Washington Jan. 20 to use a special Commuter Bus service to Metrorail stops.

The MTA says the buses will run every 15 minutes starting as early as 4 a.m. and running through 8:45 a.m. that morning. Afternoon bus service will run between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The MTA says reservations are not required, and customers can purchase round-trip tickets onboard on Inauguration Day. Tickets are $10.00 and customers must have exact change.

The routes include Frederick to Shady Grove, Columbia to Greenbelt, Annapolis to New Carrollton, and Kent Island to New Carrollton.
