SHA To Close Rt. 28 Bridge Near Point Of Rocks

POINT OF ROCKS, Md. (AP) ―

MARC is advising Brunswick line passengers who use the Point of Rocks station that it is about to become more difficult to get to and from the train.

Starting Tuesday, the State Highway Administration will temporarily close Route 28 between Rock Hall Road and Pleasant View Road. Plans call for the bridge over Washington Run to be replaced, and the road reopened, by early September.

During the project, however, drivers will face a 7 1/2 mile detour around the closing. Detour signs will be posted.
