Balto. Hires Collection Agency For Parking Fines

BALTIMORE (AP) ― More than 107,000 vehicle owners are being told to pay their overdue Baltimore parking tickets or their cases will be turned over to a collections firm.

The city says it is owned more than $100 million in overdue fines and late fees.

Those who fail to pay up will hear from Texas-based Linebarger Goggan Blair and Sampson and delinquencies could be reported to credit rating agencies.

According to notices sent out last week, violators will have the option of paying their fines on an installment plan.
