There's a search across the city for three young men police say kidnapped a student at an ATM and forced him to empty his bank account.
Mary Bubala has more on the key clue released by police.
A walk home at 9 a.m. for a medical student turned into a morning of threats and theft. Two young men pointing handguns approached him near his home. They forced him to the ground.
"They asked him where his car was and he told them a few blocks from where they were. They forced him up and they forced him into the car. At that time, a third suspect came into the car," said Troy Harris with Baltimore City Police.
They drove to Broadway to take out cash from the student's account. A picture was captured on the bank camera. One of the three suspects is visible, clearly wearing a distinct sweatshirt.
The group left the Fells Point bank and the suspects took the victim to several other locations to try to use his ATM card again but they only got away with the money from the first location.
"We're going to try to go to these other locations and see if we can get a time frame of how many ATMs they went to, how long the process was from taking him from one to the other and taking him back to the location where they dropped him off," Harris said.
The other banks could provide more pictures. Police are hoping someone will recognize the suspect and give them a call.
