Baltimore City Police have been searching for suspects in former councilman Ken Harris' murder since he was shot at The Haven Lounge last month.
Derk Valcourt reports it's proven to be a tough case to crack.
The apparent lack of progress in this case is bothering at least one city councilwoman.
While she isn't blaming the police department or saying it's done anything wrong, she is asking for a resolution Monday night to get police to talk about it.
It was Sept. 20 outside of The Haven Jazz Lounge when three men ambushed and shot former city councilman Ken Harris. They also robbed the club owner at gunpoint.
"The put the gun to my forehead screaming, you know, open the door, laced with profanity," said Keith Covington, The Haven owner.
Police later found a mask they believe one of the assailants was wearing.
They released a surveillance camera video that showed the three men minutes before they shot Harris, but more than a month after his death, the case is still unsolved.
"In a deafening silence, it begs the question what's going on," said councilwoman Helen Holton.
Holton says she does not want police to jeopardize their investigation, but she says the city Harris served so well deserves to know more.
"I'm not interested in details of the case. I'm interested in what is it going to take to close this case and the countless other cases that are open," said Holton.
Holton says she's already spoken with police commissioner Frederick Bealefeld who plans to attend Monday's meeting.
A spokesperson for the police department says the department's head of the homicide unit may also be able to discuss some of the details of the case at Monday's meeting.
