Mourners Turn Out For Haas Memorial

HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) ― Memorial services were held Saturday in Harford County for a well-respected superintendent of schools.

Long lines of people turned out to honor Dr. Jackie Haas.

Haas was an educator for 36-years--serving as superintendent since 1998.

She was a trusted advisor to state superintendent Nancy Grasmick and has close relationships with many in the school system.

Haas died following an asthma attack. She was 59.
