Inmate Stabbed At Md. Correctional Institution
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) ―
Prison officials say an inmate was stabbed in a fight at the Maryland Correctional Institution.
The inmate was hospitalized in stable condition at Washington County Hospital after the fight among four or five inmates in the recreation hall on Tuesday, according to Rick Binetti, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
Officials don't know what caused the fight, he said.
MCI is a medium-security facility that has some 2,100 inmates.
