Harbaugh Plans To Keep Stover And Hauschka
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) ―
Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh says he likes the flexibility of having two place kickers and he plans to keep both on the game-day roster.
Veteran Matt Stover ranks as the third most accurate kicker in NFL history and has been perfect this season with field goal attempts inside the 40. However, he 2-for-6 at longer distances.
Rookie Steve Hauschka nailed a 54-yarder Sunday in his first attempt as a Raven.
Harbaugh says Stover will continue to attempt the field goals in his range. Meanwhile, the Ravens will have the option of using Hauschka for long range attempts when the situation warrants.
