Gilchrest Headed On Overseas Democracy Trip

WASHINGTON (AP) ―

Maryland congressman Wayne Gilchrest is headed overseas on a trip aimed at establishing democracy abroad. Gilchrest plans to travel to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan with two other House members.

Gilchrest stops first in Azerbaijan and then will head to Pakistan, where he'll spend two days meeting with members of that parliament.

The Eastern Shore Republican also will meet Afghani President Hamid Karzai. He also plans to meet with Marylanders serving in the military.
