Germantown Man Dead After Motorcycle Crash

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) ―

Montgomery County police say a 33-year-old Germantown man has died after crashing his motorcycle into a car.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on Middlebrook Road near Ridgecrest Drive in Germantown.

Police say as Alexander Weisser approached the crest of a hill, he hit a Honda Accord. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 17-year-old Germantown girl who was driving the car was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the crash is under investigation. They say Weisser was wearing a helmet. It isn't yet clear whether alcohol or speed were factors.
