Man Arrested In Georgia For Baltimore Death

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) ―

Federal agents have arrested man accused of killing a Baltimore handyman who apparently disposed of drugs the suspect and his friends had stashed.

The U.S. Marshal's Service says investigators with the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Kevin Armstead on Wednesday while he was working at a car wash in suburban Atlanta. The agents were acting on tips called in to "America's Most Wanted" Saturday night.

Authorities say Armstead and two others kicked in the door of a house where Ricardo Paige was working on March 20, 2007, and Armstead shot Paige after he tried to run and pleaded for his life.

Police say they believe Paige had disposed of drugs that Armstead and his associates stashed in a rowhouse Paige was renovating.

Armstead will be in the DeKalb County jail until he is returned to Baltimore, the Marshal's Service said.
