Police Look For More Answers In Freezer Deaths

ROCKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) ― More information is coming to light in the sad case of two girls whose bodies were discovered inside a Maryland woman's freezer.

Kai Jackson
reports police are still trying to answer numerous questions, but say they're confident about the girls' identities.

The bodies of two girls were found inside a freezer of a Lubsy, Calvert County home last month. People across the state, let alone the county, were stunned and horrified.

It's a tragedy that came to light when a seven-year-old girl ran from the home.

The girls' mother, Renee Bowman, was arrested and charged with child abuse.  Police say Bowman then started talking about her other children who died.  Those girls were identified by Montgomery County Police as Jasmine Nicole Bowman, 9, and Minnet C. Bowman, 11.

Authorities say they're confident that the girls are the adopted daughters of Bowman, 43, who police suspect killed them and then put them in a freezer.

"We're going on the premise that the information we're getting from Calvert County authorities is true that the deaths occurred in Montgomery County," said Lt. Paul Starks of Montgomery County Police.  "We're trying to establish a timeline about when the girls died and how they met their deaths."

Authorities believe after the girls were killed in Rockville, their bodies were transported to Calvert County, according to statements Renee Bowman made.
