Man Charged With Setting Another On Fire
SHARPSBURG, Md. (AP) ―
Fire officials say a man accused of setting another on fire has been charged with first- and second-degree assault.
Clayton Muller of Sharpsburg was released Friday after posting $15,000 bond.
According to the fire marshal's office, the incident occurred March 15 at Muller's home.
Muller, 19, is accused of spraying lighter fluid on a fireplace and trailing it onto another man's upper body.
The victim became engulfed in flames; a witness helped put the fire out.
Authorities say the victim suffered second-degree burns to his arm, chest and face.
