REISTERSTOWN, Md. (WJZ) ― A woman, who was killed in a Reisterstown apartment fire, has been identified.

Officials say the two-alarm fire started just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 98 Ewing Drive.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire coming from the first floor, but it had also spread to the second floor and attic.

Neighbors say the victim, Rose Lea Salzman, was a crossing guard for more than 31 years at Timber Grove Elementary School.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

More than 12 pieces of fire equipment and 50 firefighters responded.
