D.C. Man Fatally Shot After Leaving Nightclub

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) ― Prince George's County police are investigating the fatal shooting of a southeast Washington man.

Police say Kordero Howard, 21, was shot in the upper body early Saturday.

He was part of a group that had gone to Icon Nightclub in Waldorf. On their way home, as they reached Branch Avenue and Coventry Way in Clinton, an unknown suspect pulled up and fired a single shot at the car, hitting Howard.

Howard died from injuries at a hospital.

Acting Chief Roberto Hylton is asking residents to help police monitor late-night activities of nightclubs. He says violence emanating from nightclubs is a problem for several jurisdictions in the Washington area.
