Man Dies In Pasadena Crash
PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) ―
Police are investigating an accident in Pasadena that left one man dead.
It happened on Wednesday at 11:19 p.m. on Route 10.
The victim was traveling northbound on Route 10 north of Ritchie Highway, when the he lost control of his vehicle.
The vehicle struck guardrails on both sides of the highway. This impact caused the vehicle to flip up on top of the barrier wall of the overpass to eastbound Route 100. The vehicle then slid along top of the barrier wall for more than 100 feet, eventually the car fell off the barrier and off the overpass to the roadside adjacent to eastbound Route 100.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the collision.
At this time, it is unknown if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It is believed that excessive speed was a contributing factor to the cause of this collision.
