Woman Dies After SUV Accident

TAKOMA PARK, Md. (AP) ―

A woman who was struck when a sport-utility vehicle crashed into a Takoma Park store has died of her injuries.

Montgomery County police say Maria Fletcher was critically injured and died late Tuesday night. Fire and rescue officials say Fletcher was pinned under the car after the crash.

Police say the Range Rover went out of control and struck Fletcher and two cars before crashing into the Red Apple Market grocery store Tuesday evening.

Police say the SUV was driven by Kaddie Kallon, 40, of Greenbelt. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
