Car Fleeing Fallston Fights Hits Harford Deputy

FALLSTON, Md. (AP) ― The Harford County Sheriff's Office says a driver fleeing brawls outside a Fallston bar struck a deputy.

Sylvia Core, 44, of Aberdeen is charged with assault.

Her passenger, Thomas Hill, 34, of Gwynn Oak, faces drug charges because he was allegedly shoving a green vegetable-like substance into his mouth as police approached. Another passenger, Antoine Smith, 31, of Edgewood, faces assault charges.

They were at Tully's Bar in the 2400-block of Bel Air Road early Sunday when police received reports of fights. When deputies arrived, they called for backup and officers from Maryland State Police, Bel Air and Baltimore County assisted in getting the large crowd under control.

Police said no one was injured.
