The Cecil County sheriff's office says the sheriff directed deputies to two suspects after he saw an apparent drug deal.
Sheriff Barry Janney saw the alleged drug deal take place Wednesday about 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a deli near Elkton. As one of the men drove away, Janney followed the car and called in a description of the vehicle.
Lt. Bernard Chiominto, a sheriff's office spokesman, says a deputy stopped the car and searched it. Chiominto said police confiscated pills, needles and syringes.
Gregory Atwood of Cochranville, Pa. was charged with possession of controlled and dangerous substances with intent to distribute. His brother, Jason William Atwood of Conowingo, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of hypodermic needles.
