2 Dead After Apparent Road Rage Incident

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― Two cars, some type of argument and then gunfire.  Now two people are dead in what police are calling a possible case of road rage.

Dennis Edwards reports police are looking for two suspects who fired into a moving vehicle after a heated disagreement.

The  deadly confrontation ended in the 1500-block of Mount Royal Avenue.  Police say the man and woman in a Crown Victoria were initially involved in an argument with two men in a green Volkswagen Jetta along North Avenue.

"One or two occupants inside of that green Jetta fired shots into the white Crown Vic," said Donny Moses, Baltimore City Police spokesperson.

The victim's car crashed into several others on the street, finally wedging itself under one.  The victims were rushed to Shock Trauma with multiple gunshot wounds and both were later pronounced dead.

Stunned students at the Maryland Institute College of Art stepped out of their apartments to find a shocking scene.

"They were wheeling a guy out of the car.  He was on the ground and his stomach was pretty large and looked like he was internally bleeding," said student Lauren Hastings.

Police don't know the details of what caused this deadly confrontation but seem to have a good idea.

"At this point, it does appear to be road rage that turned extremely bad," Moses said.

Investigators tell Eyewitness News the green Jetta has extensive front end damage.  Anyone with information about the vehicle or the men driving it should call 911 immediately.
