Victim Identified In W. Balt. Dollar Store Murder

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― A close-knit West Baltimore family is grieving after 51-year-old Elizabeth Queensbury, assistant manager at the Family Dollar Store on West Pratt Street, was stabbed to death after opening the store Monday morning.

"Detectives have not been able to get any good information from store cameras.  They have nothing," Baltimore City Police spokesperson Donny Moses told Richard Sher.

"They have to be animals to take away the light of our lives.  We ask if anyone knows anything to please call police," said Tamara Queensbury, one of Elizabeth's five children.

Elizabeth, a widow, has lived in the same house on North Carey Street for almost 30 years.  She was affectionately called "Aunt Liz" in the neighborhood.

A statement from Family Dollar Stores read, "Our heart goes out to Elizabeth Queensbury's family.  We are very upset at the loss of our associate."

Anyone with information should call police at 410-396-2100.
