Police Charge Baltimore Mayor's Chief Of Staff

BALTIMORE (AP) ―
Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon's chief of staff and another high-ranking city official have been have been charged with on assault in a domestic incident.
Ron Matz reports Maryland court documents show chief of staff Demaune Millard and Housing and Community Department Director Elizabeth Smith were charged June 7 with second-degree assault.
Court documents allege the assault happened on June 6 and Smith
also filed a complaint that she was assaulted April 15, 2008.
Dixon's statement Tuesday said she stands by both employees
because they are valuable in their jobs and are taking appropriate
steps to resolve the conflict tied to their personal relationship.
