Perry Hall Soldier Dies After Being Wounded

PERRY HALL, Md. (AP) ― Family members say an Army staff sergeant wounded in Afghanistan has died at a Texas military hospital.

Army Staff Sgt. Collin J. Bowen was wounded in Afghanistan Jan. 2. Family members say he was being treated at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, where the Perry Hall soldier died Friday.

Justin Bowen said his brother had finished his last mission and was scheduled to come home when he was asked to participate in a final 10-day mission. The 38-year-old agreed and was injured by a roadside bomb.
