Young Victim Of Wrong-Way Crash Getting Better
BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) ―
An 8-year-old girl injured in a wrong-way crash in Toledo that killed five of her family members is getting better.
A Toledo hospital says Sydney Griffin's condition has been upgraded to serious.
A statement released by her family Wednesday said she is making progress not only daily but hourly.
Her father, Danny Griffin, of Parkville left the hospital Wednesday.
He was driving the family's minivan Sunday night when police say a drunken driver going the wrong way on Interstate 280 slammed into their van.
Griffin's wife and their two-month old daughter were among the five killed. Three other children also died in the accident.
The man accused of causing the accident remains in jail.
