Police Investigate Columbia Homicide

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) ―

Howard County Police are investigating a homicide that occurred overnight in Columbia.  

Officers in the Oakland Mills area heard gunshots at around 2:50 a.m.  Around the same time, the Howard County 911 center received calls from community members who also reported hearing shots fired.

Officers responded to the 5800-block of Stevens Forest Rd., an apartment complex, and found a man in the parking lot who had been shot.  The 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
