Man Sentenced On Child Sex Charge

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) ―

A former supervisor for a U.S. government agency has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage boy while on assignment in Ukraine.

Paul D. Guild, 65, of Silver Spring, Md., had been a supervisor in Kiev for the U.S. Agency for International Development.

He was convicted in January of one count of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of assault. On Friday, a judge sentenced Guild to four years and three months in prison.

Federal prosecutors in Alexandria alleged that Guild had sexually abused two teenage boys last summer while one of the boys was living in Guild's residence in Kiev.

A jury acquitted Guild on five other counts of sexual abuse, including all counts involving one of the two boys.
