2 Md. Deputies Indicted In Separate Incidents
ELKTON, Md. (AP) ―
Court records show that two Cecil County sheriff's deputies have been indicted in separate, off-duty incidents.
Thirty-seven-year-old Gregory Passwaters of Earleville and 25-year-old Thomas Pierson III of Elkton were indicted last week on one count each of second-degree assault. They have been put on administrative duty, a sheriff's office spokesman said.
Passwaters is accused of assaulting an unidentified county resident at a local business in May.
Pierson is accused of assaulting another deputy outside the sheriff's office in June.
