Evaluations Ordered For Federalsburg Rape Suspects

DENTON, Md. (AP) ―

A Caroline County judge has ordered more psychiatric evaluations for five Federalsburg teenagers charged as adults in the February rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Circuit Court Judge Karen Jensen ordered the new evaluations this week during a hearing to determine whether the teens should instead by charged as juveniles, reducing their potential penalties.

Fifteen-year-olds Trayver Lake and Shaquille Dukes, and 16-year-old Dazwan Bolden, are accused of raping the girl Feb. 9 in a baseball dugout at Chambers Park in Federalsburg.

Marquise Lovick, 15, and Brandon Nelson, 14, are accused of acting as lookouts. All five faces charges of first- and second-degree rape, first-, second-, third- and fourth-degree sex offense and false imprisonment.
