Man Dies Of Suspected CO Poisoning

MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (AP) ― One man is dead after a carbon monoxide emergency aboard a boat in Middle River.

Division Chief Michael Robinson with the Baltimore County fire department says the unidentified man was unresponsive when rescue crews arrived late Friday night at the Parkside Marina. He was in cardiac arrest when he was taken to Franklin Square Hospital, and he died there.

Robinson says crews detected dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in the air aboard the boat. Several other people were on board, and they refused treatment.

The cause of the gas leak is under investigation.
