Baltimore Co. Police Officer Hurt In Car Crash

MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (WJZ) ― Baltimore County police say a county police officer was flown to Shock Trauma following a two-car traffic accident in Middle River.

Investigators say the officer, who was driving a police cruiser, collided with another car at Bowleys Quarters and Carroll Island Roads shortly before 9 p.m.

The officer was conscious when he was taken to the hospital. There is no word yet on his condition.

Investigators say it's unclear at this point what caused the crash. The county crash team is investigating the accident.
