Cakelove Opens Just In Time For Valentine's Day

Reporting
Ron Matz
BALTIMORE (WJZ) ―
If you still need to get some goodies for your honey on this Valentine's Day, you may want to head to a new store in Canton. It's called Cakelove.
Ron Matz reports the owner started his already successful business with a credit card and a dream.
Warren Brown is the man behind Cakelove and on Valentine's Day his new store in Canton is bustling with customers from all over.
"It's a great location, right here on Boston Street on the water. It's a beautiful space," Warren said.
The cupcakes are mouth-watering and the cakes are special.
"I'm so glad he's here. I don't have to go to D.C. to get my Cakelove fix," customer Robin Allen said.
Warren is celebrating, too. He left his job as a justice department lawyer to become a baker, something he always loved.
The gamble paid off and Warren has three other Cakeloves and a café in Washington, D.C.
Warren started it all with a credit card. Now he has 70 employees. It's a jump he considers successful.
"I took a total gamble and put a lot of work into it. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears. But it has been a lot of fun. I'm really happy doing it," Warren said.
Warren Brown is a graduate of George Washington University Law School.
